Apparently Tina Turner was wrong. Love has “Everything” to do with it.

Its Valentine’s Day weekend. (Just a reminder for you guys out there)

Love at first sight is easy to understand; it's when two people have been looking at each other for a lifetime that it becomes a miracle. ~Amy Bloom

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings. ~Anais Nin

Love: a temporary insanity, curable by marriage .~ Ambrose Bierce

If you have love in your life it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it's not enough. ~Ann Landers

As usual, a GREAT Bible study message follows the blog. :)

I am so blessed to have the precious Bride God gave me over 21 years ago. (We celebrated our 19'th Anniversary this past November.) I started attending New life in December 1985. I invited Kim, and she started in the summer of 1987. The rest is HIS-story! \o/

We have trust, security, and respect. We love each other very deeply. I know that I have never loved another human being as deeply as I love Kim. :)

God has blessed us in so many ways that cannot be counted, folded, or spindled! ;)

I don't think a single day goes by where we don't say, "I LOVE YOU" to each other more than once! Morning, Evening, and Night. We love to laugh together, go out to dinner once a week, and "talk silly" to each other a LOT! ;)

Thinking of talking silly... when's the next "Pizza & Passion"? ;)

I forgot to mention a VERY beautiful Christian love song that everyone should hear! Bring your spouse to the computer with you... with Kleenex in hand!! Then listen to the song "A lifetime's worth", here:

(If this isn't a clickable link, copy & paste it into your browser.)

The song is at the top of the "player". It brings me to tears every time I hear it. :) I think they should have used this song as the closing song for "Fireproof"! :)

GREAT Great bible study! I loved the way you described Love: Alive, Dying, and Dead... that was good. I am so thankful for Pastors and leaders that see the importance of sharing and encouraging us as a body in the area of love, not only for Christ, but also with our spouses, family, and our friends.
I know that in marriage there needs to be this security, but I sometimes forget to think of it as the "place" where we can individually reach our greatest potenial. Thanks for the reminder!!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Wow....only 3 comments so far....very sensitive subject matter i guess....uncomfortable to touch this one I guess....

I think it was when I first became a Christian that I heard about Agape, Eros and Familial (fileo-sp?) types of love. God's love is something that blew me away and still does until this day...that God so loved the worrld that He gave....and gave...and gave...and still gives and keeps on giving. It's such a test of what we're made of.

The more I understand God's love the better I am at showing that same love to my wife, my children and the world around me....it's therapeutic....it's healing....it gives me strength.....it comforts my soul. I love to love my wife, my family and friends in their own respective ways...it makes me a better me and opens me up and makes available God's love and favor in my life.

Hey Everybody, Donkey here...just downloading on my ipod, listening to Hillsong United on the laptop, and buying the Love Dare from the Blog link! Who says a guy can't multitask...

Great studies on this blog! God is so good and so awesome! I just wanted to say how thankful I am this Valentines weekend for a wife that loves me so much and loves the Lord so much as well! I am so thankful for the life Christ has given me and the future He has planned for me and my family! I love you Nikki! Thank you Father for all your blessings and your love that is never ending no matter what happens.

What a great quote on today's Selah..."if you're going thru hell, keep going" The best part about that is God is right there in it with us! Otherwise, we couldn't keep going!

Have a great week folks.

Hey come on now....this love thing is untouchable or what...not too much being said...hmmmm...well anyway here I go again.....ok willie it's me and you man \o/.

I know it's a bit repetitive but I have really come to feed on that new song Jason opened us up to, At The Cross (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOY0mjjmx8Y#) come on go ahead listen to it....what better story or definition for that matter, of Love can you get...I know this weeks blog spot was more geared towards our Love towards others but you know if it weren't for the Love of God that's in Christ Jesus, we wouldn't be so great at loving our family and friends.

I manage the construction of a 40 story condo every day of the week....it's filled with some of the most anti-God, heathens you could ever meet....things get heated at times...frustrations boil....you need to keep your cool. When I get home, I need to chill....and meditate on the Love of My Father and Lord Jesus and bask in their warmth, their light, their LOVE. This song has such an amazing way of soothing the savage beast at the end of the day and reminds me of the amazing Love of God.

"Oh Lord you search me, You know my ways" (Ps 139:23)
"even when I fail you, I KNOW YOU LOVE ME"(Rom 7:21-25)
"Your Holy presence surrounding me" (Ps 16:11)
In every season I KNOW YOU LOVE ME" (John 3:16)
"At the cros I bowed my knoee, where Your blood was shed for me, there's no greater LOVE than this (John 15:13)
"You have over come the grave, Your glory fills the highest place, WHAT CAN SEPERATE ME NOW" (thank God !! Rom 8:38)
You go before me, you shield my way"(Ps 23)
"Your hands uphold me" (Ps 37:23-24)
"You tore the veil"(2Cor 3:16)
"You made a way"(Ps 18:32; Ps 32:8)
"when You said that it was done"(John 19:30)
"and I KNOW YOU LOVE ME"

You 3 Muskateers are doing a great Job pastoring us....I think it's so important to fill our spiritual tanks...songs of praise are great for this....even that GoBible MP3 is great....be careful though, two days ago, while closing my eyes on the train to the book of Romans....homie wound up in Chappaqua instead of White Plains!!!! Dear Father !!! Well Glory, what great way to miss your stop!! \O/
